ICTF Maritime Annual Technical Seminar

On the 25th and 26th of January, Fall River Taekwon-Do once again hosted the “International Ch’ang-Hon Taekwon-Do Federation Maritime Annual Technical Seminar”. The seminar featured Kwan Jang Nim Cariati – VIII Degree and president of the ICTF.

The weekend commenced on Friday evening with a four hour Instructors Seminar where Kwan Jang Nim Cariati ran eight of the Maritime Instructors through an extremely detailed educational session. This session also included the successful testing of Mr. Muise to 5th Dan (Muise Taekwon-Do, Yarmouth) and Mrs. Stewart to 4th Dan (Stewart Taekwon-Do, Shag Harbour).

Instructors in attendance (alphabetical): Mr. Blue (Blue Taekwon-Do), Mr. Carr (Carr Taekwon-Do), Mr. LeBlanc (LeBlanc Taekwon-Do), Mr. McAvoy (White Tigers Taekwon-Do), Mr. Muise (Muise Taekwon-Do), Mrs. Stewart (Stewart Taekwon-Do), Mr. Stoerig (Fall River Taekwon-Do) and Mrs. Williams (Winding River Taekwon-Do).

On Saturday the Fall River Recreation Centre was filled in three sessions based on belt level. The focuses this year were details in fundamental movements, patterns and self-defense. All attendees thoroughly enjoyed the hard work, intense energy and the accessibility and ease of explanation of all topics by Kwan Jang Nim Cariati. Every session ended with contented tired smiles as all learned a great deal and took something home.

Until next year, “kamsahamnida” again Kwan Jang Nim Cariati.

Thank you and Taekwon,

Mr. Stoerig

NTX Schools - Black Belt Grading

It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop.
Confucius

NTX Schools congratulates all of the students who took part in the recent Black Belt exam.

There were tears of nerves at the start of the exam and tears of joy at the end.  Every student worked very hard to pass their exam and we are sincerely proud of each and everyone of our students your instructors cannot wait to see you all training as part of our Black Belt family.

We have new 1st Degree Black Belts in North Leeds, Horsforth and now the first two Black Belts from Mrs Bhambras NTX Roundhay clubs.  We also welcome Miss Arnold as a new 2nd Degree and helper/trainee instructor.

We encourage everyone to continue with their Taekwondo training. Your black belt journey is your own and remember that this is just the beginning!
