We have our FIRST CONTEST WINNER!! The ICTF held its first free draw on April 1, 2009. The winner is Pat Earles, 1st degree Black Belt from Canada, who won $100 in cash!! Pat is currently in Afghanistan with the Canadian military, and along with our congratulations, we thank him for his courage and service.
Woodbridge Taekwon-Do hosted a "Youth Week" Tournament for the City of Vaughan, ON to showcase the skills of the young ICTF students.
We have received a new update for the 2009 Puerto Rico Inter-Continental TaeKwon-Do & Martial Arts Festival to be held June 25th - 28th, 2009 in the cities of Hatillo, Arecibo & Lares, Puerto Rico.
The ICTF has completed its new DVD for Referees. This DVD will greatly enhance the ability of ICTF Referees to judge fairly and accurately. New Referee courses are being booked now. The course will include up to 3 hours of instruction, a copy of the DVD which will be utilized during the course, an official referee golf shirt with name, referee rank, and title embroidered on it, as well as the referee book and an ICTF certificate indicating the holders qualifications.

Welcome to the New Year 2009! It is that time again. Time to renew your membership with the ICTF. Each year the ICTF has more and more promising and exciting activities. 2009 is no exception. This year we will have 2 new countries joining us with very large numbers. There are also many other countries who are in contact with us in regards to membership. In June we will be having our annual international tournament in Puerto Rico. This is where the AGM will be held. As well, the ICTF is developing a DVD for Referee training that will assist people in how to judge. We have also updated our referee shirt to a blue golf shirt that will be included with the course. Check out the web site in Mid-January as a new free giveaway contest will be online where students and instructors can win terrific prizes.
Your yearly membership fee is $150.00 and this will include the black belt membership fee that you will read about in another e-mail.

On March 20th, 2009, ICTF Malaysia held a Black Belt Certificate presentation ceremony to Tourism Minister- Dato Seri Azalina Othman Said for her promotion to 6th Dan Black Belt in the International Ch’ang-Hon Taekwon-Do Federation (ICTF) at her Ministry office in PWTC KL.
On Saturday January 17, the Phoenix Taekwon-Do Club held a Red and Black Belt Seminar at their main Do-Jang. The seminar covered pattern, sparring, self-defense, core strengthing exercises, step sparring and instructional procedures. Over 60 red and black belts managed to attend. The fast paced action melted the afternoon away and before anyone realized it, the seminar was over. The next event for Phoenix Taekwon-Do will be the internal colour belt tournament being held on February 21.
