ICTF Technical Seminar
Miami, Florida USA, June 24-26, 2005
It is with pleasure that I announce the successful completion of the first ICTF Technical Instructors course this
past weekend of June 24th in Miami, Florida. All 24 Ch'ang Hon patterns were reviewed in
detail as well as three step, two step and one step sparring, and all fundamental movements. The three day course
began Friday morning, and every day at 9 am, ending at 5 pm, by first tracing the history of Ch'ang-Hon Taekwon-Do
to its roots which had its beginnings around the 1800s. At the end of every day, a written exam was given to those
students having finished all their requirements for their particular rank level. All students passed their written
exams with high grades and were given their completion certificates as they left. Mr. David Rohde, 6th dan from
California, also received his Instructors Certificate qualifying him to teach the Technical Course in the ICTF
as well. Congratulations to all for a job well done.

Sparring Seminar with Master Dan Simard, 7th Degree
Calgary, Alberta CANADA
Master Dan Simard, 7th degree and world
champion, conducted a rigorous and very informative 5 1/2 hour sparring seminar on April 30th. The event was held

2005 ICTF Florida Invitational
Following the Friday, April
1 umpire seminar, led by Mr. Craig Stanley and hosted by Mr. Aaron Fruitstone from Chi Taekwon-Do, the 2005 ICTF
Flordia Invitational proved to be a truly memorable event. In its first year, 136 competitors from various Ch'ang
Hon organizations and from 3 different countries came together in the spirit of Taekwon-Do and experienced a high
level of competition. Students and instructors through 6th Dan from the US, Canada, and Venezuela were in attendance.
The tournament began with the first Special Needs competition in the US, followed by Red and Black Belt power breaking.
Gup patterns and sparring, followed by Black Belt patterns and sparring concluded the great day. Competition was
fierce in all divisions, expecially the Black belt competition, as all ranks were combined for sparring. The finals
matches were great!
Chi Taekwon-Do would like to thank all instructors and competitors who participated and look forward to another
great event next year.
