The Ultimate International Taekwon-Do Championship

The Woodbridge Taekwon-Do Group and its Head Instructor, Master Joe Cariati, are pleased to host:
The Ultimate International Taekwon-Do Championship. This championship will take place on
June 7th, 2008 at
Humber College, 205 Humber College Blvd., Toronto, Ontario,
Canada M9W 5L7. This tournament is open to all ages and belt levels. We would like to extend an open invitation to all ICTF, GTF, ITF, Chon-Ji, and Ch’ang-Hon style martial artists to join in this event. All belts up to 6th Dan/ Degree are welcome to compete in sparring and patterns. The Tournament fee is $ 60.00 CDN per competitor for two events. All Registrations are due no later than May 23, 2008 to receive the rebate. There
will not be any registrations the day of the event.
The rules for the team competition are as follows:
Sparring:
1. From age 9-17, only 3 fighters will be able to compete. The team members will fight and accumulate points for the Team. At the end the team with the most points will win the round. In case there is a tie, only those 2 teams will have to fight again to break the tie. Black Belt divisions, including teams will be scored by an electronic scoring system which will show all the details of the match, including time, minus points, warnings and total points.

* Please note that in the 18+ category, if a team has only 3 or 4 members they can still compete but they will have to accumulate all there points in 3 or 4 fights. They will not be able to send in the same person more than once. In case of a tie, each coach can pick the best fighter to break the tie.
Patterns
1. The pattern will be judged by points. Each team will come up and the judges will score points (Minimum 5 and Maximum 10).
From age 9-17, 3 people will be competing and 18+ will be 5.
* Please note that in the 18+ category, if a team has only 3 or 4 members they can still compete, but they will lose 2 points per competitor they are missing.
The ICTF Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place that
Friday, June 6th, 2008 at 7:30pm.
